Types of Dentures

You have options when choosing your missing teeth replacement restoration. Dentures or partials can be secured or removable:

  • Full Dentures: Replaces the top, bottom or both arches of your teeth
  • Partial Dentures: Helps preserve any natural teeth. Replaces several consecutive teeth.
  • Dental Implant Secured Dentures: In a process called “all-on-four,” Dr. Ludlow will use dental implants to permentaly secure your denture or partial. During your consultation, Dr. Ludlow will determine if you are a good candidate for this option.

What to Expect

During your consultation, Dr. Ludlow will thoroughly evaluate your teeth and determine the best missing tooth treatment option for you. He will develop a detailed, customized plan to help restore your teeth.

Once a plan is developed, we will take impressions of your teeth that will be sent to a lab to fabricate. Your denture will then be color matched to your existing teeth to ensure a natural looking restoration.

Some patients may receive a temporary denture or a training denture to help their teeth and gums adjust while their customized dentures are being created. Once your personalized dentures or partials are ready, Dr. Ludlow will make sure the fit comfortably and securely in your mouth. Some minor adjustment may need to be completed, but once done, you will have beautiful new teeth.
